The Walking Dead Season Two: Amid the Ruins Review [Capsule Computers]

Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:
"While zombies might be the greatest threat to any survivor in a zombie apocalypse, it has been shown time and time again that other survivors are just as dangerous and the events that took place during the last episode are prime examples of that. After bearing witness to the cruelty of Carver and making numerous decisions along the way, what is next for Clementine in Amid the Ruins?"

The way the last character died just doesnÄ‚Ë€â„Ët sit right with me.
***SPOILERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD. SPOILERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD. SPOILERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD. *
The Walking Dead is one of those special franchises to me. Not only is the tale emotionally haunting and gripping, but the decisions you are compelled to make as Lee and Clementine in Season 1 are rough. In this world, there is no good or bad, just surviving, and every choice you make is expected to be in the interest of doing just that. Maybe itÄ‚Ë€â„Ës the dire circumstances—everybody just wants to live to the next day—but one of my favorite aspects of the series so far was its inclusion regarding gender and race. However, something in the most recent episode of the second season, "Amid the Ruins," fractured the lens I was using to view the tale.

Mike from Twinfinite writes, "Indeed, the world of The Walking Dead appears to be post-race, post-gender, post-everything. Like the memories of the Civil War however, glimpses of the past peek through."
